Molt collects no data

Molt has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting service. It does not connect to the internet. Nothing about you, your Mac or your files leaves your Mac.

What Molt reads on your Mac

To find files that can be rebuilt, Molt reads folder names, sizes and dates inside your home folder. The Mac App Store version asks you once for access to your home folder and keeps that permission on your Mac. Molt never reads the contents of your documents.

What Molt keeps on your Mac

• A history of what you cleaned and how much space it freed.
• Your settings: project folders, folders you chose never to see again, and the Dock icon.

These stay in Molt's own folder on your Mac and are never sent anywhere. Deleting Molt and its folder in ~/Library/Application Support/Molt removes them.
